On Dec 3 2024, Renee hosted a panel on prosocial technology and ideas in Canada as part of broader 1-day conference which brought together responsible technology practitioners in Canada focused on strengthening literacy on on prosocial design governance. This event was held at the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) which co-hosted the event with GoodBot, The Council for Technology and Social Cohesion, the Basille School for International Affairs and the University of Waterloo. On Nov 12 2024, Renee joined Lena Slachmuijlder and Search for Common Grounds for a talk in French with civil society leaders and journalists on GoodBot’s curriculum exploring the platform and AI economics, and how financially motivated decisions made by platform are relevant to many of the societal harms experienced online today.
